Chapter: FIVE

     After the conversation with my parents, I say goodnight and head off to bed. I have a feeling that I won't be getting much sleep tonight, plus with Max whining because he wants to be with Ash. All of a sudden he stops. "Human, I can go to her in a dream, I can talk withher and maybe it will be a bit easy for her and also us." "I didn't know you could do that!" He huffs and rolls his eyes. "There are some things you don't know human." "Goddess Max! you know damn well I hate it when you just call me human, I do have a name remember." I finally agree then I lay down hoping to get some sleep.

     

          (Ash's POV)

     Kim, Toni and I walked back home from the game room, but all I could even think about is that guy, Rick. I'm so confused as to what he sees in me, like he is totally hot as hell and I'm just. . . Well, I'm just me. I'm nothing special, even though my mother and grandfather always would tell me that I and very special, that God has a bigger plan for me when I am older. 

     As I'm running every possible theroy on what it is that this man wants with me, Toni breaks me from my thoughts when she starts talking to me. " Hey! Lost in space over there I see." She says then we all laugh. "Are you ok over there kid? Is something bothering you?" Kim asks while patting me on top of my head roughing up my hair, knowing I hate when anyone does that. "I can't stop thinking about that Rick guy." I say then feel my cheeks start to heat up a little bit.

     "Maybe you just need a good nights sleep." I nod and say goodnight once we walked into the house. I head up to my room and do my nightly routine then jump on my bed and turn my tv on till I slowly start to fall asleep and it doesn't take long for me to start having a weird dream.

                    (The Dream)

     I'm running through the woods, being chased by a huge wolf like creature hot on my heels. The weird thing is that I'm used to being out in the woods while horseback riding, but this time it was like a maze, with all the twist and turns , and just my luck. . . a dead end. 

     The river in front of me is to wide to even jump over and the water is moving way to fast to try to swim across. As I'm trying to figure out what the hell I was going to do. I hear a twig snap from somewhere behind me. I slowly turn around to face my possible death. My eyes lock on to a pair of deep ocean blue eyes looking right back at me.

     It was like I was in some kind of a trance or something. There is just something very familer about those eyes. The creature slowly made its way twards me and I found myself starting to reach out with a shaking hand to maybe feel the fure or something. 'Well, I done lost my freaking mind!'  I think to myself. The creature never growled or anything. Once it was close enough, it lowered its head and leaned right into my touch.

     The fur is very soft, I instantly felt calm, relaxed and even safe. I heard a very low rumble coming from its chest. It's almost like a purr. A few moments later, the wolf creature turned and walked over to a patch of grass and circled around and layed down. I swear it motioned with it's head for me to sit beside it.

     I walked closer and sat down near the shoulder of the creature. I even rested my head on the fur as well. I felt safe, and calm mostly. Even being so close as we justsit there watching the water rush past us. I start to hear someone talking, but it's just a whisper. I look around but don't see anyone else. Then I look over to the creature and I swear to you that it looked to be smiling at me.

     "My name is Max, little mate. I know that you don't understand what is going on right now but I do promise you that you are compleatly safe. You have already met my human , and we both already love you so very much." I'm not to sure what the hell is going on other than I'm still dreaming. "You are what is known as a wolf shifter, or a werewolf. I am a Lycan, we are just about the same but my senses are a little stronger. My human will tell you everything when the time comes." Once he was finished talking, I found myself feeling a bit dizzy, then all of a sudden I was lost in nothing but black emptyness.

                 (END OF DREAM)
