Sleeping early yesterday was for the best, I woke up in a good mood and full of energy. The fact that we are having dinner with the two top families of the Northmoon pack made me feel excited. After breakfast, I started making the brownies while Maya went up to finish unpacking her boxes. I decided to make some mini egg rolls too since the Alpha and Beta seemed to prefer salty treats.

Maya POVI woke up startled by my own alarm, it took me few seconds to remember why I've set it up in the first place. Yeah right, the GED tests, we have a long day today. Eliane POVToday was the best day ever. The tests were quite easy and truth to be told, The only times I thought about it were when the supervisors in the test center gave us the start signal. The only thing I had in mind was Alex and Alex's smile. Eliane POVWe decided to go for a take out, with werewolves everywhere, there would be no privacy in any restaurant or dinner. I bet everyone would be listening to our conversation. Maya POVI carefully laid down Eliane on the back seat and covered her with my jacket. I moved to the front seat and started the car. Inside my head was like a hurricane, a tornado of mixed emotions and a rainstorm of painful memories.During the ride back I kept remembering every word she said. Deep down I know that she kept to herself way more than she told me. Part of me wants to hear more but the other part is just scared to steer up something I can't handle.I turned off the engine once parked in front of the house and leaned back on my seat. I didn't want to get inside, I was tempted to grab our bags and drive far away from this place. This place is dangerous for both of us, for everything we built up during the last years.

Eliane POVAn annoying sound infiltrated my perfectly peaceful sleep. You know the sensation of floating in a very comfortable position in your sleep and then the sound of the alarm ruining the mood. I sat up blinking while searching for my phone to turn off the alarm.When my hands didn't find it on the nightstand or under my pillow, I looked around the room until I found my bag on the desk. I stood up and dragged my feet toward the bag, It didn't take long to find the phone. I grabbed it and walked to the bathroom.While I was done doing my business, I tried to unlock the phone but the screen remained black. It took me a couple of seconds to remember that I had turned it off yesterday. Little by little, yesterday's events came back to me clearing my drowsy head.
