4: Run from Death

I was always prepared for anything, but this one is not what I expected.

I wish I was dead a long time ago. I wouldn't dare to be a traitor of my own pack and to be killed in front of our ancestors that gave us the freedom we are experiencing right now.

But here I am inside the cell, waiting for the time of my own execution. I did not imagine that after years of executing criminals, I will be the one to be executed now.

I don't have tears to cry anymore. All the pain made me numb. In nearly 2 hours I will not breathe the same air I was breathing today. 

I did not eat for those days I was here, fear of being poisoned by those who hated me. However, now, they will see how I will be killed. 

I wish it would be so fast that I would not even notice it. I guess this is the time for me to say goodbye. I already lived a life with joy and experienced sorrow all by myself, it's time to rest.

I would be grateful if it was him, I will not regret anything if he would be the one to kill me. I am willing to give my life for my Alpha. 

However, I cannot face them and see their eyes full of hatred towards me. I don't want to bother them anymore. I sighed and took the small knife in the diary I was carrying inside my coat. The memories of me and him were in here, even those things I had experienced throughout the years. 

Everyday, it was only him I am asking to see. Wishing that one day, we will be together again and will fulfill what future he promised me. But it's all gone now. I hope he reads this diary, after all, it's all about him. 

I took the knife and was ready to take my life when I heard a small footsteps. I covered the diary and immediately put it back inside my coat, then waited for that person.

Are they dying to see me die? It's not the perfect time yet.

"Analisse!"

It was Rose, she was in her hoodie as if doesn't want to be caught.

"Rose, what are you doing here? Get out, they will see you!" I told her. I don't want her to be punished.

Looks like she was in a hurry. "No! We need to get you out of here!" She exclaimed.

"W-What? There are so many guards, I can't risk you. You… you are the only person I can trust. I don't want you to get hurt. Rose… please?" I tried calling her but she just continued what she's doing, she is trying to unlock the cell.

"I will never let you die, Analisse. Levi is outside, he is dealing with the guards. We can get out of here, I just want you to trust me. Okay?" I can't say anything more especially when she finally unlocked the cell. She immediately grabbed my hand. "Oh, gosh! You are so thin!" She almost cried but I told her I was okay.

I can't barely move but I'm still trying to run my feet. If this isn't my last day, I will be forever grateful for her sacrifice. 

I promise not to let you down, Rose.

She is right, there are no guards outside and it was so smooth we got out of the pack's territory. After we were outside, she gave me some clothes and a box of food. "Take all of these, promise me to take care of yourself. Okay? And… please, don't ever come back." 

I thought I don't have tears to cry anymore, but Rose is just an angel for me. She's making me so soft. 

"Promise me you will never say anything about this, never sacrifice yourself for me." I told her. She smiled and nodded her head. 

"I will not, we have a plan." I was staring at her face for the last time, she's not the young lady I have known before. She is now brave and strong.

"Thank you, I will never fail you."

She looked at me in the eyes and gave me a peck in the cheeks. "Don't die." That was the last thing she said before I saw Levi running towards us.

"We need to go now!" He shouted at Rose, she doesn't want to let me go but then I nodded my head at her, ensuring that I will be okay. That's when she finally ran back.

Please, take care Rose. 

I don't know where to go, I just keep on running somewhere until I am certain no one from my pack will find me. 

I guess I am now a Rogue. 

It's been some hours and I still have nowhere to stay. But I am not scared, I lived my life like this for 2 years, and it's not hard to go on with my life like this. However, I need to be extremely careful from my own family. 

I bit my lips and clenched my fist. I just remembered I have no family anymore.

The rain started pouring down my face while walking in the dark woods. The coldness, I can feel it again. And this cold was the reminder I will never feel that warm of the home I loved. 

They threw me away and did not regret anything about that. I guess I should go my life without them anymore. 

From now on, I am just alone.

I continued walking the same path until I found a hut in the middle of the woods. I have never been here in this area. There's light inside that hut and I don't know what kind of person is living in this kind of place. 

I took that chance to go nearer and saw there was no one inside so I opened the door. 

But that's when I felt a metal knife in my neck.

"Who are you?" Someone behind me asked. I was about to say something when everything went black.
