Demestic violance is somthing we try to hid and shouldn't.I grew up in Portland Oregon and know first had that horrifing things like the ones depicted in this story become nothing more then another tragic news story from one day to the next leaving the victims and their families feeling nothing but frustraction and anger.the Portland Police do have a few good officers and detectives who have and will continue to dedicate their lives to do just as their mato declairs "Serve and Protect" this is no way a bashing of the police deparment just a shout out to bring awareness to the many situations they fail to see or turn a blind eye to.Please if you or someone you know are in a situation where it is unsafe for you or your loved ones ask for help.

The only sound that could be heard was of my frantically beating heartbeat as I run through the dead streets of downtown Portland Oregon. The crisp night air stung my face and lungs as I ran for safety far away from where I just was.I had just left work and was walking my usual route to the max station known as OldTown China Town when someone came up behind me and hit me in the back of the head knocking me to the ground with a thud.
