Forty one: Soon
Particularly, I had told Roy to drop me at Mom's place because I wanted to speak with her. Also, I was scared of staying alone in that house. At this point, it was time I began to care about my security. Clearly, staying alone there wasn't so safe for me.  "When will Roy return?" Mom dropped the last plate of meatballs on the left side of the table, and balanced my meal with a glass of orange juice.  "Soon. And thanks for this delicious meal," I appreciated. Taking a meatball, I threw it into my mouth, sighed on tasting it, and fixed my gaze at her. "Ma, we've gotta talk." I spoke amid a mouthful of meatballs.  She sat by the other side of the table. Since mom and I grew up alone, there were only two chairs on this small dining table. When Melissa and Lisa had been living with us, we had two extra seats on the table. But now they were gone, the table only had a seat for mom and me.

Forty two: Darkness
Renee_____ "What exactly do you wanna buy?" I asked Roy, as I pushed the cart forward. Today was literally one of the days we would shop this much. The cart was so full, yet Roy insisted we bought more things. Goodness knew what he had in mind.  He just smiled, gave me a sideways glance. "You wanna know? You don't want a surprise?" "Yeah, duh." I rolled my eyes.  "Okay," he said.  Turning to the other cloth section of this store, he took the cart from me. "You're stressing yourself by pushing this. Don't try to be a good girlfriend, okay?" "Blah, blah," I teased.  "Um…" He stopped walking. He pulled his hands from the cart, walked towards the shelf that had some sneakers shoes on it. "Did I tell you Tyler's been deported back to Canada?" I gasped, an

Fourty three: End?
I squeezed my gown in my palm, shut my eyes tight, and began praying for a miracle to happen. Everyone was muttering one word or another, literally causing more inconvenience to me. All I could think of was how and when I would get to Roy. Being positive, glued to my posture, the power in the hall suddenly came up. Exhilarated, I involuntarily gasped. Good for me, Roy was still standing in front of the oldies. What a relief.  I hurried to him, held his arm as I looked up at him. "What happened?" My voice was enough proof that I was really shaken.  "It's nothing." He pulled my hand from his arm, cupped it in his hand. "I guess it's an issue from the technical room. I've asked someone to check it. Are you scared?" Without hesitating, I nodded. "Very scared." He chuckled, leaned close, pecked my cheek. "Worrywart, you should stop being this scared all the time."&nb

Forty four: Yes, End.
My back hurt, my lap hurt, my stomach hurt, and I felt so sick. What could be happening?  Oh! Yeah! I had had a crazy nightmare.  Rolling lazily on the bed, I yawned, half awake, half asleep. The faint sound of a masculine voice, and the little sun passing through the window, were the things that pulled me from my sleep. Gently pulling the blanket off my body, I opened my eyes completely.  Huh? The doctor in here? Roy stood beside the old man who always treated me, as they both stared at me. The both of them looked sad and exhausted, which kind of confused me. What was going on? I rubbed my knuckles against my eyes, yawned again. The moment I wanted to sit, Roy rushed to me, sat in the little space beside me, and helped me to sit up.  "Wh-What's going on?" I asked. Weirdly, they both gave me no reply. I looked down at

Forty five: End
After a moment of being glued to my tracks, I managed to drop the bottle of water and glass, on the bed. Doing that, I traipsed to her, my legs feeling like it would break soon.  Immediately I stood in front of her, she put her eyes down. "I'm sorry. I know this might hurt you. As well, I'm hurt. It took me a while to make this decision, but I've made up my mind. And I know it'll be good for us both." "Are you crazy?" I huffed. I hadn't even known when those words had spilled from my mouth. "You want to leave me? In this ruckus?" She raised her head to me, tears in her eyes. "Please, understand this. Breaking up is what we need at this point. Many people don't want us to be together." "But, that's—" "We lost our child!" She roared. The seriousness in her tone intensified, tears already trickling down her cheek. "I've been kidnapped twice, I keep on being threatened, I

Forty six: Relationship Counsellor
Being shocked was an understatement. Not for once had I thought I would ever get to see her again. When she had first gone to the hospital, I used to visit her, and sometimes, had prepared her favorite dishes. But, when the doctor had told Bella and I that she had been close to death, we had decided to stop going to the hospital in order to prevent ourselves from being too hurt.  "Virg!" I jumped from my seat, threw my body against hers, cuddling her crazily.   She giggled, hugging me tight as well. "Missed you so much, honey." "Oh my goodness." Pulling away, I pecked her on the cheek. "I can't believe you're… alive." She shrugged. "Me too. I can't believe I'm alive." I poked her arm. "Gosh, you've made me so glad tonight. Wanna go somewhere and talk?" "Sure." She nodded.  "Kk." I took my purse from the table. T

Forty Seven: Absolutely no one
Life was the same as boring. There was no Roy to stare at me whenever I woke up in the morning, there was no baby in my tummy to adore, there was no one to keep my company. Mom, who was the only available person around me, was facing a bit of depression.  Ever since I had told her about how I had lost my pregnancy, she hadn't been doing fine at all. She had said she had already been knitting sweaters for her unborn grandchild, not knowing the innocent thing would be killed by some morons.  Little by little, I was getting rid of the pain of losing the pregnancy, but not a bit had I gotten rid of my love for Roy. I guessed we had a really strong bond. To be frank, in the last one week, sometimes, I would think of speaking with him, but I didn't know how to. Probably, if he hadn't affirmed that this relationship was over, I could have tried to at least call or send a text to him. But, since he had said he didn't want it anymore, I gue

Forty eight: I'll do it
The thought that could poof into my head, was going on my knees and begging this irritating dude to spare us. Now, I understood why mom wanted us to leave the country as soon as possible. But, the irritating thing was, why the heck were we running away from a criminal? Criminals were the ones who ought to leave, not us! "Scott, at this point, you should know that this isn't possible. I've been guiding my late husband's possession since God-knows-when," Mom sputtered, glowering at him. "So, please, forget about the filthy necklace." "I. Won't." He spat out.  She scorned at him. "Then let's see how you'll get it. In two hours, your twenty-five years bet will diminish. John will lose all the money to the betting company, while you'll get nothing!" "I swear, I'll kill you." He moved close to her, jerked her jaw, pulled my darling mom up. I could kill him as well! "You won't dare

Forty nine: Agreed.
I turned back to Scott. His mouth and eyes were dropped. Mom's reply was what he wanted to hear, but that was probably not what he had expected her to say. She groaned from behind, which made me turn back to her. She was trying to get up. Yep, I ought to help her get up, but I was quite angry that she had agreed to give him the necklace.  "Mom?" I walked to her, and scoffed. "You wanna— what the heck?" "Honey." She gasped for air, grumbling a bit as a result of how tired she seemed. "I can't risk your life. He's threatening us at gun point. We should just get rid of him for good. There's no need for you to worry, okay?" "But, I can't…" I began to cry. I was so short of words. My mom would start a relationship with my boyfriend's dad? Absolutely ridiculous!  "Honey, please—" Just when she was about to speak, the loud sound of… oh my goodness! Si

Fifty: What?!
"Roy, come downstairs!" I cried, grumbling and frowning at myself. Goodness knew what he was doing up there. "Do you want your food to get cold? Don't make me come there and break your bones!" "I'm coming, ma'am." He mumbled some things, as he walked down the stairs.  Hot, he really was. He was in a sweatpant, a sweatshirt, and slippers. His hair was a bit wet and tousled, some of its strands slipping on his eyebrows. But, that didn't obstruct his beauty. As he took each step down, those arms moved back and forth as if he was bragging about his muscles.  He squeezed his face a little, yawned in between. I could tell he still wanted to sleep, but couldn't do that because I had forced him to take a bath earlier than usual. Lazy dude. He didn't wanna go to work anymore.  "Gosh, why won't you let me sleep? What have I done to deserve this punishment?" He pecked my cheek from behind, and se
