The moment that Carmen walked out of the building and the gentle breeze blew against her skin, she felt a bit better. She forced a bright smile on her face and allowed the pain in her heart to fade away.
Once she felt like herself again, Carmen took a few steps forward and began walking among the crowd.
She walked a few distances before her eyes caught a glance at a classy necklace displayed in the window of the "Men and women boutique."
"Since Liam is busy, I can do the shopping on my own. How tough can it be?" Carmen mumbled as she entered the store.
"Hello, and welcome to the 'men and women boutique.' How can I be of assistance?" A lady said.
"I came to look around. If I find anything to my taste, I will make a purchase." Carmen replied.
