Goodnight kiss

Stirring the coffee, I read the message Sam sent me about Alex's condition. 

He was doing well. My shoulders sagged in relief.

After he regained consciousness an hour ago, he refused to meet anyone, even Mom and Dad. 

I was really confused about his behavior, as well as everyone else. We were so eager to see him, but he requested the doctors to give him some privacy. 

We didn't know how to react to this. But Robert told us that he might need some time alone to digest everything; after all he almost escaped death. Even though it was so unlike his behavior, we understood his condition and let him be.

I wanted to stay at the hospital, but Robert didn't let me, not anyone else. He said he and Tim will handle everything, and Sam would be there too. So reluctantly, I agreed to come back home with others.
