“No..no.. that can’t be,” she said, shaking her head in disbelief.

“Yes madam, this young man was shot and he came over to the police station to make a report. We got to the scene and we found her car at the scene;And also this phone, which seemed to belong to her,” the policemen related.

“No! No!” She screamed as she saw Alex's phone in their possession. The whole thing became real to her and she slumped on the couch and began to weep uncontrollably.

“We are here to ask a few questions about the whole event. We want to know her destination, the last person she called and any other information we would need to track down the kidnappers,” one of the men said.

She sniffed and wiped off her tears as she sat right on the couch. She recalled the call Alex received from her mother before leaving the mansion. She looked up at the policemen and related everything to them.

"I need you to go over to Mr Steel's mansion and question my mother!" She ordered sternly with her eyes on the men.
