Their mouths were open viciously, baring their sharp teeth which were capable of cutting through flesh as if it were paper. I halted and raised two fingers to my lips and blew out a very sharp whistle.

The dogs immediately started to whine and back off. I took out my gun and shot at the dirt. The predators flinched and scattered with their tails between their legs. So much for having guard dogs.

I approached the front door and I noticed that it was quiet. Much too quiet for my liking. I nodded silently at Gabriel who was beside me. He nodded back to me as he was aware of what was going on too. I raised my hand, my fingers curling to a fist, and knocked on the door.

"Fucking coward, won't you let me in?" I said, smirking as I held back a chuckle.
