Chapter Sixty Six

I stood, frozen to the spot. Salvatore managed to get one last laugh before being taken by the sweet solitude known as death. The silence that ensued was deafening.

I watched Sienna pale. Her naturally tan skin was devoid of barely any color. She had lost a lot of blood. She was injured and weak. Her body went rigid as she watched Eric collapse to the ground. Edward followed, trying to rouse his friend but he didn't respond.

Sienna stared at her husband, at the man whom she loved with all her heart. I could see her heart almost shatter in two at the sight of Eric bleeding out and possibly dead.

She snapped out of her daze and cried out, while emptying the bullets in her gun into Salvatore's body. Tears ran down her face. She was breaking.
