Chapter 17

I opened my eyes in a foreign setting. The room I woke up in, looked nothing like I had seen ever before; high ceilings, drapes all across, it was a lot fancier than I could’ve ever dreamed of. The one thing was I really didn’t know how I ended up there. The last thing I remembered was walking the old lady back to her home, the rest is gone.

“She is awake, my lady. You can tell Your Majesty,” the old lady said in a chirping voice. It felt good to see a familiar face.

“Where did you bring me to?” I asked, still trying to make sense of my surroundings.

“A place that lives in a different lifetime,” the old lady laughed. I failed to see what she found so amusing.

“I don’t remember coming here,” I tried so hard remembering how and when we arrived. “How did we come here? When did we come here?”
