“You don’t have to do anything you’re not ready for, Celene. It’s your decision, and I’m here to support you no matter what.” I assured her.

We spent hours talking and crying, trying to move the overwhelming situation.

Eventually, I accepted that Celene was certain of her decision; that she wasn’t ready to be a mother at that point in her life. We researched options, found a reliable clinic, and I accompanied her for the procedure. That day, she lost her virginity because we opted for the surgical abortion option fearing the pills wouldn’t do.

Throughout the entire ordeal, we promised each other to keep this a secret, a pact sealed by the bond we share as sisters and best friends. Celene, grappling with the emotions of it all, made me swear never to reveal this to anyone.
