Chapter 5

She carried her feet against the pavement as she prayed to not be late again, she was drained so running was not an option. Couldn't they have wait? She wondered just have waited a while longer until she at least finished school. Two weeks that's how much she had left. But no, her emotionless parents decide to tell her now about how they were moving all across the world this Wednesday.

She sighed and climbed the stairs towards the school's front door. A supervisor held the door open for the students, if it was any other day Charlotte would've stayed with her to keep her company but today she didn't even bother to greet her. Walking into the school had never made Charlotte feel better in her life. She could barely hear her own thought's from the students around her.

Confusion was her most present feeling these past few days, she was so confused that she felt like her own life was a dream. She saw the principal standing on a desk as she whispered with a teacher. So, something was going on. She sighed and walked further into the hall before leaning against the wall.

"Okay! Good morning everyone!" She shouted as teachers started shushing students, she couldn't help but roll her eyes. There were at least hundreds of students in this small space she'd give them awards if they could manage that. For the next few minutes all she kept hearing were annoyingly whispers as teachers tried to quiet them down. Why oh why, did they always have meetings unannounced? She pulled her phone out of the pocket and turned on 4G before she opened I*******m.

Before she could scroll down her feed, she felt a presence by her side. Looking up she saw Amara out of breath as she held against the wall. "Did you just ran a marathon?" She couldn't help the sarcasm. But she did wanted to be left alone, she just didn't know how to tell her.

"Yeah." Her friend rolled her eyes at her. Amara like all the other days was late, again. She didn't want to use excuses but it truly never was her fault. It was always something, but mostly it was her parent's arguing and questioning her on dumb shit. She sighed and placed her bag on the ground before removing her jacket.

As she tried to calm her breathings down, she listen to the principal as she spoke on how it was the end of the year and bullshits like that. She tore her eyes away from the woman and stared down at her friend. She didn't know what was going on with her, but she knew her friend was acting different. "So, do you want to do something after school?" She asked hoping she'd say yes.

Charlotte was surprised by her friends question, it's not like they didn't hang out after school they did. But she just felt like they were kind of taking a break since neither had been talking to each other after school hours, but she needed the distraction. She nodded making Amara smile with a nod.

Much to their surprise, the school end quickly than they had expected, Mrs. Principal was giving a speech on how it was the last two weeks and today they were getting a free day for no apparent reason, but everyone knew they were behind in schedules for this years graduation's party.

Everyone's mood had worsened at the news, here they had woken up at 7 am to be in school only to find out they could go back home. When the principal finally said her last words, everyone eagerly made their way towards the front door. Amara and Charlotte stayed behind like all the other times, they had a few things they needed to do together. And both knew these silly traditions made their friendship grow stronger.

Say hello to their favorite teachers and have a daily dose of their sexy, hot older teacher.

"So, did you see him?" Amara could't help her cheeky smile, she loved teasing her friend. Charlotte's cheeks turned pink as she shook her head, it was honestly just a silly crush but these last two weeks were the last times she could ever see him. As they started walking towards the hall where his office could be found, they were stopped by one of their favourite teacher. Mrs. Bhatt their english teacher.

"Good morning girls, where are you two going?" She smirked knowing very well where the two best friends were heading.

"Oh, just going to see the greek god, that graced our lives when he decided to start working here." Charlotte mumbled making them share a quiet laugh.

"Like always." Their teacher faked an eye roll but deep down they all knew just how much she loved them, they were her favourite students too. No one really bothered to ever listen during English class, but somehow these two girls managed to quiet down the class and force everyone to stay quiet while she explained her lessons. She didn't know what she would do when they graduated.

It's not like she was a bad teacher, she just was one of the nice ones, she didn't like giving detention or shouting at her students and somehow everyone took advantage of that. "Yes, like always." Amara giggled, as she widened her eyes when she suddenly caught the person they were talking about walk out of his office.

"Ouch, what the fuck?!" Charlotte groaned and held onto her stomach when her friends hand collided with it, she saw her friends eyes going left and right as she tried to point at someone, rolling her eyes she scoffed and focused in front of her ready to ask her teacher if she wanted to get coffee with them, when suddenly her eyes caught sight of the gorgeous creature making their way towards them.

She quickly straightened her poster and cleared her throat. "Good morning, ladies." Ian spoke as he stopped by them, he nodded towards the two girls which in his opinion were too crazy. They smiled at him as their breath hitched in their throat. Standing awkwardly there like frozen statues he couldn't help but feel creeped out, they always managed to make him feel some type of way.

Even that one year where he had taught Economy to their class he couldn't help but feel like he was about to lose his damn mind. They were just crazy, too wild. But he didn't let that get in the way of their grades, after all they were pretty smart for their age.

"Good morning, Mr. Anderson." Amara spoke knowing her friend would not be able to get a word out of her mouth.

Charlotte was frozen in her place, she'd understand if it was because of his gorgeous voice speaking to her but to her surprise the feeling of excitement had immediately disappeared when another person entered her mind.

"Good morning," Charlotte spoke shaking the thoughts away, she needed to get out of here. "Excuse us, talk to you later Mrs. Bhatt." She quickly grabbed her friends arm who was gawking at him and pulled her towards the exit.

"W-What just happened?" Amara couldn't believe the shock, had her friend just said her first words at him after three years. "Did you just speak to him?" She couldn't help her excitement, even though she knew it was just a stupid crush her friend had developed she couldn't help but find the amusement on every time he walked past them.

First Charlotte would ignore him, once he was away from them she'd turn around and stared at him until he was out of sight with a stupid grin on her face. Then came the part that sometime drover her nuts. Talking, boy did her friend have a creative mind. If she was not stopped she could go on and on about how she thought he was the hottest man she's ever seen.

Charlotte couldn't help but scoff, "so, what it was just a morning greeting. It's rude if I didn't reply." She shrugged wanting to not make this a bigger deal than it was. She had just spoken to him after three years.

Three years ago, one of her teacher's had an operation and he couldn't come to school so they replaced him with Mr. Anderson and that's how her crush started blooming. But now after three years every time she saw him she couldn't help but get embarrassed of the way she used to act around him. God, her teenage years were crazy if only she could list the things she had done to him.

So, that's why she could barely look at him. Her talking to him today was the biggest step she had take in her life, but she figured since he was changing jobs and she was graduation why not take advantage of it.

"So, where are we going?" Her friend asked sensing her friend's bad mood, she decided to not press matters into the situation.

"I need coffee." Charlotte moaned at the thought of coffee, her addiction. She would not function if she had not had coffee in the morning. And she finally understood why her mood was bad.
