Chapter 14

Today didn't start off well, Elijah had to leave for work and Charlotte was drowning in her sorrow. She couldn't help but feel like he wanted to get away from her. Sure it was Monday but he could've called in sick. Or maybe it was her being needy.

She decided to explore the rest of the house. She had seen the pool and she couldn't wait until the sun was out. She was in need of a relaxed day. As she walked through the halls, she couldn't help but feel paranoid. It was too quiet; she had never been in a house that was this quiet all the time.

She really missed her brothers.

Twenty minutes later she had seen every room in the house. The house was designed with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, a large living room and kitchen with backyard and of course the pool. She was too afraid to go to the basement so she decided to leave it alone.
