It’s been two days since we planted our jewelry in Becky’s closet, and to my greatest surprise, she didn’t see them. Maybe she did but decided to let it be. I wasn’t so sure.

Lucian was preparing to leave for the Empire in my chamber when I got up and walked to my closet.

I began to pick up the outfit of the day when all of a sudden, I started searching the wardrobe vigorously, causing Lucian’s attention to be drawn to me.

“I can’t find my necklace. The one you got for me. I put it here and now it’s nowhere to be found.” I muttered in frustration, and he creased his brows, looking into the wardrobe again.
