TWENTY-TWO | A Thought Worth Thinking

"You haven't answered me. Where is Arden?"

"Work calls" I answered.

"Are you both always busy?"

"Well, sometimes we get so busy we do not have time for anything else, and sometimes there are not many things to do"

"Do you know I have missed staying in the Ice Pack? I missed spending time with you and Arden" she said and I rolled my eyes slightly.

But I do not miss spending time with her. I thought. I still prefer to listen to Arden's unnecessary talks.

"Do you remember when we visited your father's garden without his permission to plug some fruit and Arden's trousers caught some thorn?" she asked and I nodded.

I had forgotten most of the things that happened during my childhood and had to pretend that I remembered every bit of what she was talking about. I wondered why she suddenly brought this up.

"We ended up being chased by your dad's dogs. And we couldn't get a single fruit at the end" she said laughing so hard.
