"You called!" Bryce walked into the study with a frown on his face.

He had been dealing with the issue of how Ariel got into the dungeon.

"Yes, grandfather!" Roman said, with Zarius standing behind him.

"The elders are clamoring for an explanation! They want to know why Ariel was locked up!" Bryce said and then sat at the table.

At Bryce's words, Roman burst into a peal of hilarious laughter.

"Have them know that anyone who goes against the Alpha will end up like Ariel." He said, in an authoritative tone.

"Good!" Bryce said and then turned to look at Zarius.

"How is Nicole now?" He asked, even though her life was no longer in danger, he was concerned.

"She is well." Roman answered, simply with a finger on his chin.

"You don't want to take a seat?" He asked, looking at the new Beta who was standing beside Roman.
