"Where are you, uncle? It's taking so long to step out," Alex complained, and Derrick remembered he was the one who brought Alex to work in his own car just because he did not want Alex associating with Miranda.

Derrick frowned and replied, "Wait for me at the car park. I will be there soon." After ending the phone call, Derrick ensured that everything in his office was neatly kept. He switched off his computer and rose from his seat.

Clutching his black briefcase, Derrick finally exited his office, handing his office key to his assistant before walking into the elevator and out of the company building.

"What took you so long, uncle?" Alex asked as Derrick finally got into the car.

"Nothing that concerns you," Derrick replied as he buckled his seatbelt. He told his driver, "Drive."

Alex looked at Derrick and shook his head, then remarked, "I guess it's about your secretary, right? Do you intend to court her? She seems pretty, though."
