My soul nearly left my body when I heard Elijah groan. I closed my eyes to block the few of the blade stabbing Elijah.My breath was coming out in a short huff as I slowly opened my eyes again.It took my eyes a few second to adjust to the dark again, and what I saw shocked me.Elijah had managed to stop the knife from going in to his face with his right hand. The knife did go through his hand, forcing another grunt out of him, but he quickly gained his momentum.He struck the intruder with his left hand so hard that the other man nearly fell off of him. I woke up with a massive headache pounding at my head. I touched my forehead with my right hand palm after I sat up in bed.
