Chapter 29 (Part 1)

AFTER her final flight landed in the afternoon, Lorelie, the female security guard, hailed a cab for her. Another security guard was there and currently on shift with Lorelie, so she was able to leave the main gate for a few minutes in order to guide her on her way out and wait for the cab.

“Do you have a child?” Lyzza asked while they waited for an unoccupied cab.

“Yes. I do, Ma’am. I have three. Two of them are just a few years older than you and have already finished their studies. My youngest, however, studies engineering at De La Salle University,” the female security guard responded with pride in her voice, and she scratched her head. “That’s why I am so thankful to the Vesarius family.”

She turned her gaze to face the woman.

“My children are their scholars. De La Salle’s fees are extremely high, especially when it comes to engineering courses. It’s a good thing that I got a job here. All their employees’ children are scholars of the Vesarius family, especially ours who did the
