CHAPTER 64

Aurora and Eloise made me feel welcome. We talked a lot and were able to connect easily, it was fun enjoying something that came out of my new temporary life.

We spent the day outside sipping champagne, playing in the water, and eating good food. I can't lie, it felt wonderful to be living this lifestyle, wining and dining with the wealthy ones even if it was only going to be for two years.

I left Aurora's house late in the evening to avoid crossing paths with William in the house. I certainly did not want another round of belittlement from him—If I could turn the hands of time, I doubt I would have accepted his offer.

I suppose William has a problem because I don't think it’s that hard to spend the two years cordially. I wish Matthew would leave soon, don't get me wrong, I adored William's father. I enjoy having him around but I couldn’t wait to get back to sleeping in my room full time so I could go back to not seeing William daily and also avoid stepping on his toes.
