That hit Ava where it hurt. Although she was sure that just because she suddenly came into the picture, it wasn’t her fault that Casey didn’t want to have any sort of intimacy with Klaire, it still made her feel bad. She was sure that she added fuel to the fire in that case.
Ava cleared her throat. “When was the last time you two, did it?”

“We should go on a date,” Ava, who was nose deep in a book, turned to Casey. They were in her apartment. After his therapy session with Klaire, he had gone home feeling more drained than usual and so he came to Ava’s apartment.
