Even though she always preached to her friends that she was fine and that she didn’t need anyone. She was lonely. And it really bothered her. Ava was too afraid for a repeat of her past relationships that she ignored the pain she was feeling inside. Ava had not expected that things would turn out like this and that she would willingly be with Casey, but it was hard not to accept such a tempting offer. “We should go on a date,” Ava, who was nose deep in a book, turned to Casey. They were in her apartment. After his therapy session with Klaire, he had gone home feeling more drained than usual and so he came to Ava’s apartment. Of course, she wasn’t the happiest that he showed up unannounced, but still let him in. They had not said much to each other, Ava was busy reading and Casey was looking at the way her house was laid out. It was like he wasn’t even there and so Casey had to get her attention somehow. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Ava closed down her book. Casey shifted closer to her, brushing his hands in her hair. “Yeah, well, it’s night and I think we both have had practice in dodging the paparazzi. As time passed, Ava started to get certain thoughts. These thoughts were not the nicest ones. There were things that Casey would say to her that would fuel these thoughts.
