Ava had not said a word since they got inside. They both sat on the couch, in the same places they were earlier. And Ava just looked at Casey, with this look on her face that he could not place. It was like she was studying him, but at the same time she looked zoned out. Casey was tempted to speak up and say something, but he didn’t want to ruin whatever thoughts she may have going on in her mind.
Admittedly, what he did this morning was selfish and was putting some pressure on Ava. It would have been easy for her to just shut him out and never talk to him again, but she actually decided to have him in her apartment. Which didn’t exactly mean that he was going to hear something good, but it meant that she was at least thinking about it and had something to say regarding the matter.

“We should go on a date,” Ava, who was nose deep in a book, turned to Casey. They were in her apartment. After his therapy session with Klaire, he had gone home feeling more drained than usual and so he came to Ava’s apartment. Of course, she wasn’t the happiest that he showed up unannounced, but still let him in. They had not said much to each other, Ava was busy reading and Casey was looking at the way her house was laid out. It was like he wasn’t even there and so Casey had to get her attention somehow. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Ava closed down her book.
