Chapter 43: Comfort Zone

After eating, Bea went to her room with her duffel bag hung on her shoulder. After she dropped the bag on the study table, she dropped her body on the bed and sighed. She looked at the glow-in-the-dark stars that were glued on her ceiling and smiled.

She liked the comforting feeling of the familiarity that surrounded her. The travel time was long and she even felt sad leaving Caleb behind, but then she realized that nothing could beat the comfort of her own home. It was her safe haven—her sanctuary.

She looked around and smiled sadly when she realized that her room was filled with William’s traces. That was how crazy she was for him. There were pictures of them together were hanging on the wall. On her study table, there were memos of her plans and scheduled late-night talks with him. Her display cabinet was filled with gifts coming from him from stuffed toys to customized mugs, and even dried flower petals carefully tucked inside a few jars.
