Not only had she just learnt that she was there for nearly two weeks, but Dave wanted her to give her crazed kidnapper the benefit of the doubt and trust his reasoning.

October walked around the corridors not knowing where to go; she took random turns, some of which led her to nothing.

"Where the hell am I even going?" She asked herself.

October only stopped walking when she noticed she was in a corridor that was made entirely of glass. It gave the perfect view of a garden that had roses of different colours.

October got lost in thought, imagining herself there, playing with and sniffing the flowers. She then remembered back to the times her mother would take her and her siblings on picnics. It brought tears to her eyes; she leant her head on the cool glass to calm herself.

As she stood there for a while, watching the birds and butterflies while they danced around the flowers, she wished she could be free like them.
