October gulped as he continued to stare down at her, and her up at him. His face was unreadable while his mouth was set in a firm line.

'Holy shit,' she thought, not from fear but from how sexy he was. Just leading on the doorpost, he looked like those men you see on steamy romance novel covers, the ones that got women's attention and made them wet the more they read about the pleasure the male brought to the female.

October shook her head when her mind strayed, beginning to think if it would be like that for them.

"I can't have Stockholm syndrome," she accidentally said out loud without realising it.

Alistair chuckled and shook his head. "Where have you been?'' He finally spoke. His voice held something that made her skin crawl and shivers to run down her spine.
