I found Luke as usual in his office. He looked up in surprise as I came in with the baby and immediately reached out to embrace the both of us.

"Welcome home once again, Sophie" He said, as he hugged us. He smelled good and the hug was warm so we both lingered in it for a while. Bryce made a squeal which disrupted the moment and we pulled apart.

"So how are you holding up," He said, returning back to his seat.

"Quite good, just a few nightmares but who doesn't have those these days. I can't complain," I said with a shrug.

"I miss you," He said, looking at me intently and I knew he really did.

"I missed you all," I said guardedly, careful of where the conversation was going. After everything, Luke was still Luke and I had once had something for him.
