Luke's Secret

SOPHIE POV

I spied Magnus and Luke through the window in my room coming out of Magnus car and I hurried down to meet them. I had earlier gone to their office both to look for them but the guards told me that they had gone out.

I took the steps one at a time instead of the two I was used to. My pregnancy was now becoming obvious and it was causing me to be slow about how I went about things.

"You should be inside resting, what are you doing out here," Magnus said in a worried tone.

"For the umpteenth time, pregnancy is not a sickness. I came out here to welcome you back from wherever you went. I've missed you," I said enveloping him in a hug as I lowered his head to kiss him.

He gave a feeble protest but returned it passionately. I could see some of the guards smiling around us, it was the first time that I had seen them break their composure. It wasn't everyday they saw their King displaying his affection openly.
