MAGNUS POV

I folded the paper not knowing what to think about what I had just read. There was a strong possibility that this was just a ruse by him to fuck with my head. There had to be a grain of truth in them though because why else would a common Alpha have the guts to make such a bold lie. Sophie had been acting distant and weird around me lately too which added weight to the whole thing.

"You look so pale right now," Luke said, coming over to me.

"No, I'm fine. Must be the lighting here," I replied, trying to ward him off. I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone around now.

"No really, it's not the lighting. What's that in your hand? Some bad news?" He said, pointing to the letter in my hands.
