I found Luke conversing with some guards outside the building. They seemed engrossed in their discussion but once they spotted me, all attention was diverted my way.

“Your Highness.” They all chanted with heads bowed in respect.

I forced a smile on my face and nodded approvingly at them. I then focused my gaze on Luke.

“I need to speak to you alone,” I said calmly, reining in my thoughts.

As usual, Luke was more than ready to give me an audience. “Of course, Sophie.” He breathed, eyes dimmed with concern.

Oh, he better be worried for if he had no concrete reason for what he did, we would both have some beef to settle later.

“You all can proceed with what the plan is. Let the team one that is going out with me stay behind. The rest of you, proceed.” He ordered the men who chanted simultaneously in affirmations before walking up to me.
