SOPHIE’S POV

I returned to my room with a heavy heart and the moment I entered my room, I couldn’t stop tears from rolling down my eyes. It finally dawned on me that Magnus was in trouble and wherever he was, he must be lonely and helpless. I knew that within his stubborn heart, he felt alone there.

One thing I was sure about was the fact that he was alive, he wasn’t dead yet and I could feel it because he was the man I love. My heart craved for him the most and if he was dead, I should have felt it in me but I felt nothing.

Night came faster than I expected and it was time for dinner but I had lost my appetite. I wasn’t in the mood to even step out of my room and I hoped no one would come to call me for dinner. As I closed my eyes to rest for a while, I heard a knock on the door and I groaned, I knew it was the maids. I also knew there was no one they would forget to call me for dinner. It was their duty.
