Chapter 14

We continue with some talk about what has been going on in school when someone announced to the room “Dinner is served if you would follow me to the dining room.” The two of us stood up from the couch waiting to be led into the dining room.

I see Mr. Lockwood offer his arm to his wife and Dad comes over and offers his arm to Jen “Miss. Lockwood, may I please have the honor to accompany you to dinner?” Jen smiles and takes Dad’s arm as he winks at me.

“Thank you Mr. Blakemore I would love to” Jen is guided by my father to dinner, and I follow behind when a hand grabs my arm stopping me in my tracks and I turn around to look at Chase.

“Savannah, I know we started off on the wrong foot in History class and I’m sorry about that.”
