DIAN ANGELO POV

"Argh!!!" I roared, punching at my steering wheel in rage. I'd found a spot to park after leaving Sybil and all I saw was red. The dark feeling that poisoned my veins spread, and I gripped the wheels tighter, my muscles bulging as I applied pressure. I wanted to yank the god-damned thing off. Getting air to fill my lungs was also difficult and remembering the way Zach stood in front of Sybil as if to protect her from a monster made the rage in my chest bubble to an all-time high.

It was my fault. It was all my fucking fault. I'd put that look in her eyes, but damn it if I was just going to let her walk away from me.

Never. I will not allow it! I could not even bear the thought of being without her for a second more, and she was talking about severing all ties. I'd never let her leave me. And I didn't care if it sounded psychotic.
