Chapter Forty One.

Charia's Pov

I opened my eyes to the sound of beeping machines and the sterile smell of a hospital. It takes me a moment to remember why I'm here. I killed myself. My heart raced as I tried to move, but I find that I can't. I'm trapped in a hospital bed, wires and tubes attached to my body.

Suddenly, the door opened and a doctor and nurse rushed in, their faces etched with worry. "Oh my God, you're awake!" They exclaimed, so excited.

I tried to speak, but my throat felt dry and scratchy. The nurse handed me a cup of water with a straw, and I take a small sip, grateful for the relief.

"How long was I out?" I managed to ask, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Three days," The doctor replied. "You were in a coma."

I felt a surge of panic at the thought of being unconscious for so long. "Am I going to be okay?" I asked, fear lacing my words.

The doctor took my hand, her grip firm and reassuring. "You're going to make a full recovery," she said with a small smile.
