Chapter Nine

Charia's Pov

I cried all through the day and all Ryder did was snore and sleep. He once apologized but after about two trials, he fell asleep again.

I couldn't believe it was my husband sleeping beside me, the very one that pampered me like a queen during our vacation. And suddenly he feels like a stranger.

Melissa and Peter had come during the day to check up on me. I asked that they gave me a private moment. Peter was consistent about seeing Ryder, but he wouldn't agree also. He said he was going to be out in a few days when he felt better and I agreed with him.

After seeing that he was fast asleep, I moved into the guest room for proper sleep. But I couldn't sleep, my husband filled my head and I was lost in thought. I missed my Ryder. He would never harass me sexually, angry or not, sick or well.

What has become of my husband? I missed my Ryder, I missed his touch. Was this how it was all going to be before he recovers?
