I awake to sunlight. The rays peeking through the slightly opened curtain. I blink at it, a dull ache immediately blossoming behind my eyes. Will's warm body doesn't stir as I lift my head off his arm. The movement is almost impossible.
I settle back down with a sigh. I wouldn't be able to move it would seem. I lift a hand onto Will's chest, savouring the comfort of him. His eyes immediately flutter open. Awake and alert. They settle onto me.
"Are you okay?" Will asks me, slowly sitting up. He pulls me with him gently, careful to avoid touching my ribs.
"Everything hurts," I mumble, resting my head on his shoulder. I look at our bodies, "We're both covered in sweat," I say, my nose crinkling in disgust. He brings his hand to my face, placing it on my forehead

Christophe groans as I place him on the counter of the bathroom sink. John helped me walk him through the house, disappearing once Chris was settled. Something about recon, he said.
