BECKY’S POV

This was the second most terrifying day of my life, coming after the day I lost my dad. The driver dropped me in front of the door and drove to the garage to park the car. I dragged myself into the house before the workers would asking me what was wrong with me.

“Ma’am, what happened to your eyes? Were you crying?” One of the workers coming from inside the house asked me.

“None of your business.” I answered and rushed inside the room.

I saw Tyler arranging a stack of books on the dining room, he stared at me and his jaws dropped when he saw me. I rushed upstairs and bolted the door of my room; I wasn’t ready for any unnecessary conversation.
