Chapter 4 Testament

Everyone had their own mind when having a meal.

To prevent their continued calculation on her, Clara packed up directly and went out after having a meal.

Before leaving, John was sitting on the sofa, and he was full of angriness.

“If you dare to leave this house today, don’t come back anymore.”

He never expected that her daughter, who had been obedient to him for the past two months, would disobedient him and made him so angry.

But it doesn’t matter, a girl who grew up in the countryside can’t make any big moves.

As long as he stopped her living expenses, she will come back to him again.

At last, she still needs to collect funds for him.

Betthany kept patting her father’s chest.

She looked at the door where Clara left with an evil eye.

In fact, the idea that Clara went to sleep with investors for funds came from Betthany.

She just simply raised an idea, never thought that dad really took action on it.

That played right into her plan.

She hated Clara. Because the face of the woman was just as excellent as her dead mother.

She looked amazing and perfect without makeup.

And this time, the engagement between John family and Walker family, they were disgusted with her because of her mistress’ daughter identity. They liked Clara even though she just came back from the countryside.

Even though Paul Walker and her fell in love, and was too late to change anything, the Walker family still stopped their marriage.

So, under mother’s mention, she just had the idea to destroy Clara.

If that woman hadn’t gotten away last night, her little video would have gone viral by now.

And she would have been the only daughter that matched with Walker family, then her marriage will be continued.

Clara didn’t pay much attention to her father’s words.

She still tried to maintain the relationship these two months before knowing his true colors.

Hence, she pretended to talk nicely with them. But those people thought she was soft and tried to take advantage of her.

Clara went to a coffee shop and found a seat by the window.

Soon, a man in a suit with a briefcase appeared.

“Uncle Leonard.”

Clara stood up and greeted him.

The man in the suit was Sam Leonard, a forties lawyer. Her grandpa mentioned him before he passed away, so when she had problems about the shares can go to him in the future.

Clara had mentioned her purpose on the phone.

They sat down, and the lawyer straight away took out the signed agreement.

“This is the testament from your mother.”

Clara took it and looked through it while Leonard was explaining.

“Your mother’s testaments mentioned that you have to fulfill two criteria, one, reach the age of 20, and only after marriage, you can inherit 70% of John’s group shares.”

Clara was puzzled and asked, “Why do I have to get married?”

Leonard was also puzzled about it.

“Your mother did not explain about that time, just said in case.”

Clara lowered her head and read through the testaments carefully.

After half an hour, Leonard left.

Clara sat alone by the window, looking at the Walker’s sign which opposite the road shined under the sun.

Clara was still curious about the two criteria, and her mom was only thirty years old when she died. No one will be making a testament at such a young age.

The more Clara thought, the more she realized that something must have happened.

She wanted to find out the truth.

But first, she had to get back the shares.

Now she knew the content of the testament, but the two criteria were hard to fulfil.

Age was still easy, as she will reach her twenty next month.

Just the marriage…
