Chapter 16

By the time Jake came out of the bathroom I was already in one of my huge t shirts tucked under my duvet already. I plugged in my ear piece and started my playlist with NF songs starting it. 

"Asleep?" I heard Jake's voice ask.

"Nah." I murmured as I removed my earpiece. 

"What are you listening to?" He took his seat on where he was before and then continued working. 

"NF." 

He glanced back at me with a loop side grin, "hmmn, good choice." 

"I know right." I grinned. "What are you working on?" I asked as I plugged in my ear piece back but reduced the volume. 

"Just some office stuffs." 

"Oh. Um, okay then, goodnight." 

"Goodnight." 

"But, make sure you sleep early since your flight is leaving early tomorrow." 

"Yes ma'am." He smiled. 

By the time I woke the next day Jake had already left to New York. He could have at least woke me up. I thought.&
