Alvize:

I watched as Elena walked out of the hall toward me, her eyes as hard as stone, making me frown in confusion. Her heart raced against her chest, and I could tell that she was not only annoyed but she seemed broken, and that was not something that I was used to about her, especially since I knew that despite all the pain that she could be in, she was one to always mask her expression.

Her revealing her pain was something that she was against, and I somewhat understood her reason, the last thing that she needed was for someone to hold her pain against her.

I wrapped an arm around her waist in an attempt to get her to smile, wanting to lean in to kiss her, but she didn’t react.

“Elena?”

“Alvize, please get me out of this place before I start saying or doing things that I know I am going to regret.” She said, looking me dead in the eye. I frowned in confusion at her response but nodded and guided her toward the car.
