CONAN.I took the towel at the extreme and pat dry my body in haste. As nude as I was born, I walked into the room and settled on the bed beside her. To my greatest surprise, she was already asleep. Jeez!I sighed and covered myself with the rest of the duvet. My body is very much pressed to hers, seeking the slightest of warmth and comfort from her soft skin. Frustrated, I sighed again. LISA The night dragged on longer than necessary. I lazily sprawled like a child, too weak to get up. My eyelids flickered, once, twice and then thrice, before it remained wide, as I scanned the four walls of the room. It's emptiness greeted me. No Conan. CONAN The long ride home had us giggling and singing and been naughty. I loved Lisa, in every sense of it. She was perfect and flawless and just the right mate for me. Once upon a time, I wanted to choose my mate, the one I deemed fit. I had these high expectations that barely any woman could reach. I abused the moon goddess daily for the supposedly wrong match, and in repentance, I worshipped her daily. I was so wrong and I was glad Lisa endured.
