My phone rang as I was cooking, stopping the music that was playing.

Checking the caller ID, I frowned when I saw that it was Giovanni who was calling. The man never really called unless it was important or he had work for me to do, and judging by the fact that I currently worked for his son, I knew that he had no job to offer me.

“Why the fuck did you allow Dante to start a whole new line of clubs and hotels without informing me?” He asked, stopping me. I frowned, putting the man on speaker as I rushed to the stove, lowering the heat, not wanting the food to burn.

“First, hello, Giovanni, second, Dante is not starting a new line of clubs and hotels…” I said, sitting on top of the counter “and, why on Earth would I be informing you of what he chose to do with HIS businesses. Last I checked, he was in charge of everything that you gave him…”
