(Kaeleigh’s POV)
Adam and I walked slowly back towards Opal House in silence. The doors were locked when we got there, so I pulled my card from my purse and swiped it, giving me access. Adam opened the door, and I walked in with him following me.
Once we got to my room, I turned and smiled.
“Thank you,” I said. “I appreciate you walking me.” He grinned and a glint of something flashed in his eyes.
“Oh, you aren’t getting rid of me that easily, beautiful.” He lifted his hand to gently stroke my face, although it hovered slightly, not completely closing the distance. “I want to check your wounds,” he said, dropping his hand again. I shrugged and said okay; I was good to walk but assumed that the girls would have plenty of shopping, so driving seemed like a solid plan.We headed to the side of Opal house where a black SUV was waiting.
