65 - The Traitor

"My son. Didn't your mother explain? It is not good to sneak into a room where an Omega is. Where are your manners, my son."

It was the first time I saw the gentle and loving Karen looking at her son with a serious face. She was angry, I knew it. Still, Roger wasn't entirely at fault.

He came because he heard my inhuman cries. Anyone would be shocked if their house had such crying noises. Maybe even me.

"Mom, it's okay. Don't be angry with Roger. He has done so much for me," I pleaded. I stroked her shoulder so that her anger would subside. Slowly her face softened, and I could see her gaze turning soft again.

"Alright. Then, it's best if your mother goes back to the other room. You can rest here, my dear. Enjoy your night. We'll see you at breakfast." Karen suddenly stood up and was about to leave.

"But, Mom, this is your room. I can sleep in the guest room like yesterday," I retorted, preventing her quickly. "Come here. Let me go. Mom, please rest here."
