“Fuck!”

Ayden whispered breathlessly as my cell phone blared, interrupting his mission and our moment.

I clenched my fists, inhaled quickly to save myself from sinking further into the sexual trance, and broke away from Ayden. He let me roll out in his arms this time but as I attempted to escape the bed, his voice reached me, “Can we ignore the ringing phone?”

“No.” I blurted tightly but with one look at his face, I choke on my harsh words as I got affected by his emotional face and eyes, of course. Those eyes were the reason I almost forgot all I believed was right.

To ease his pain, I uttered slowly as I left the bed completely, “I have to answer the call. I don't have a lot of people to call me so if someone is calling, it has to be someone important like Regina, Chloe, or Emaline.” Ayden swallowed harshly, nodding as I added, “Those are the few people that call me. I can't ignore them.”

Ayden replied, “Of course. You have to answer that. I will give you some privacy
