Sophie was wide awake. She lied down on the bed waiting until Alpha Jones would come in. She wanted an explanation of what happened in the throne room. She was bewildered by how he was almost licking Scott's feet.She made a grimace instead of welcoming him with the usual affectionate smile but Alpha Jones didn't even notice her countenance.He moved onto the bed beside her. He kept smiling. His joy was profound. It wasn't fake. He had not only failed to recognize his wife frowning. He was also unconscious of everything around him.She couldn't understand what made him so happy despite how hard she had tried to show she was angry at him."What happened out there?" Sophie asked straight."Nothing. We wanted to see Scott through a shirt and he walked in through the door" he conveyed quickly. It was happening. There was nothing no one could say to stop this any longer. Sophie watched with a gloomy face."Come on!" Alpha Jones stood up to welcome Scott into the throne room. He waited until he made it to his side. "Why are we here?" the Mage asked impatiently. He had not yet recovered from the trauma of what he witnessed the previous day.
