Chapter Twenty-four

Later that night, I woke up with a start. I sat up on the futon Jo gave me to sleep for the night. Jo lay sprawled out on her bed and I think Matthew was snoring. It might have been Rabel but for some reason, I couldn't imagine Rabel snoring in her sleep. I got up and went to the bathroom. Splashing water on my face, I raised my mouth. I looked in the mirror above the washbasin and saw something blurry. I wondered what it was. I touched the mirror and suddenly, I was transported to a familiar place, the garden where I met the prince for the first time.

I've always felt like if I saw him once more, I would scold him for just appearing randomly but I couldn't do anything now. All I could do was stare at him.
