Damon must be exhausted yet Zeeb still had the effrontery to bring in more work for him to do. My chest was puffing in anger. In fact, if I get the chance to see him alone, I would question him.

I watched in utmost anger as he dropped the many files on the table that were already piled with documents already.

I didn't even realize when watching that I'd forgotten to check the books I stood up for.

After Zeeb dropped everything, he remained silent, then said. “About the drought town, reports have been delivered to us.”

From his solemn tone, I could tell it was something serious he was about saying.

I suddenly felt awkward. Would it be alright if I'm here listening to anything important?

I wanted to leave yet I was still confused. After enough thinking, I decided to leave. I don't want any problem cropping up just because I'd listened to what they were saying.

With that decision, I dropped the book in my hand back to the shelf and started walking out of the office.
