Chapter Ninety Four

Ava's POV

I picked up my phone from the ground and flung it on the bed without looking at the caller ID. I stood up from the floor, checked the door to see if it was still locked and went into the bathroom to wash my hands. While I was there my phone rang again so this time I went to pick it up. I looked at the ID and saw that it was Aurora so I picked it up and assumed she was the one that called earlier on.

"Hey girl!"

"Hey, what's up? I'm sorry I didn't pick the first time. I didn't know it was you calling."

"Me? I didn't call you before. This is the first time I dialed your number today."

"Are you sure?"

"Come on Ava, I know I have a pregnancy brain but it isn't so bad that I'll forget who I called in two seconds. Are you okay?"

"Well, yeah. Someone called before you did and I didn't pick. I also didn't check the caller ID so when it rang again and I checked it, I just assumed that you were the one that called me the first time."
